Hoehn Sanitary Sewer Improvements
About the project

$1.2 million dollar project provided first time sanitary sewer services to Hoehn Drive Subdivision which has 164 residential lots and more than 600 residents that previously had on-site sewage facilities as their wastewater disposal system that would back up, after big rain events making them unusable.

A partnership between McAllen Public Utility Board & Hidalgo County Precinct 4 was created for this project. The project was spearheaded by Hidalgo County Precinct No. 4, managed by the Urban County Program, and funded by a grant from Texas Department of Agriculture, the Texas Community Block Grant Program and The City of McAllen PUB. HCDD1 through in-house engineering staff prepared the design plans and performed the construction management and inspection services for the project.

The City of McAllen has established a Master Plan Area of 367 Acres that will benefit in the future from a new lift station and sanitary sewer pipe constructed by this project. The lift station and pipe network were upsized and designed for future use.
